God is Hope, not Fear

I have been reading and working on certain scripts around beliefs in the super natural, etc. In the recent past such a subject is always dealt with shades of horror.

Recently when we friends were chatting, we felt...Indian mythology is full of Hope, generations have survived by thinking that praying to God is enough and he takes care of you...sharanagathi, is one such process...why none of those have been dealt for a movie or something of that sort...I am not talking about making a Ramayana or a Mahabharata again, but deal with the core of those - veda's, siddantha's in a contemporary way. Baghawat Geeta, why cant this be a subject??
In the recent past I felt Rajanikanth's movie Baba was one such exercise of dealing supernatural power. One thought though is these stories/ movies should not have dark shades or look very primitive, it should be able to connect with todays janta....it has to provide hope. God is hope for all of the people who believed in Him and not a source of fear...

I will continue thinking...and will add my thoughts further...

thanks
